As I received my copy, it was as a gift was bestowed upon me. The collectors guide sufficed as a combo collectors edition after cost, and I came home with a Red Bull to play. So far so good. I’m on a bridge scene still, have had the chance to play as Lightning and Snow so far from their storylines. In Snows I believe I’ve located Hope as well.
The graphics of this game are beautiful so far. Arguably the best looking game this year, even over titans such as Mass Effect 2 and Heavy Rain.
The gameplay is also very immersive and easy to figure out. The ATB, or Action Time Battle system, is very fluid. Only thing I could use is a dodge. Guess time will tell as to whether or not I get that, not that it matters. Also missing a jump button. Maybe its just me, but games missing a jump button really don’t interest me as much. Perhaps this will be a first.
UPDATE: The game still has those cheesy cutscenes with NPCs acting like idiots and such, and Final Fantasy still has crazy hair mania, must just be the Japanese. Also, the girl that is with Hope, the red head? Very hawt. Lightning is too. By the way, if Lightning is supposed to be the “female Cloud”, then Snow is so the “male Tifa”. Totally fits. Now to play as Hope.
